How 모르다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 모르다 and you are left with 모르.
- Apply the 르 irregular pattern. The 르 becomes ㄹ러 or ㄹ라, doubling the ㄹ. That gives 몰라요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 몰랐어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
Using 모르다
르-irregular: 모르다 → 몰라요 (the 르 becomes ㄹ라). One of the first irregulars every learner meets.
잘 모르겠어요.
I'm not sure. / I don't know.
그 사람을 몰라요.
I don't know that person.
