Terms of Service
Last updated 10 July 2026
Plain-language summary of how HanGeul works — not legal advice.
1. The service
HanGeul is a spaced-repetition app for learning Korean vocabulary. We provide it as-is and may add, change, or remove features over time. Continued use means you accept these terms.
2. Your account
You need an account to save progress. Keep your password secure and use a real email so we can send verification and password-reset messages. You’re responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it anytime from Settings → Danger zone, which permanently removes your data.
3. HanGeul Plus & billing
Levels 1–3 are free. HanGeul Plus unlocks levels 4–50 and extra features. Plans:
- Monthly / Annual — recurring subscriptions that auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime from Settings → Manage billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Lifetime — a one-time payment for permanent access.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. If you cancel Plus, levels 4+ lock again after a short grace period, but your progress is preserved and returns if you resubscribe.
Refunds: if you’re not happy, email contact@hangeul.app within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer it, and no sharing your account to circumvent payment. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Content
The curriculum, audio, and app are our intellectual property, provided for your personal learning. Your learning data is yours.
6. Liability
HanGeulis provided without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service.
7. Contact & governing law
Questions? Email contact@hangeul.app. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
