How 가다듬다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 가다듬다 and you are left with 가다듬.
- Check the last vowel. It is ㅡ, and any vowel other than ㅏ or ㅗ takes 어요.
- Join them. 가다듬 + 어요 gives 가다듬어요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 가다듬었어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
