How 갖추다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 갖추다 and you are left with 갖추.
- Check the last vowel. It is ㅜ, and any vowel other than ㅏ or ㅗ takes 어요.
- Join them. The vowels merge as they meet: 갖추 + 어요 gives 갖춰요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 갖췄어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
