How 휩쓸다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 휩쓸다 and you are left with 휩쓸.
- Check the last vowel. It is ㅡ, and any vowel other than ㅏ or ㅗ takes 어요.
- Join them. 휩쓸 + 어요 gives 휩쓸어요. The ㄹ drops before ㅂ니다, giving the formal form.
