How 맛없다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 맛없다 and you are left with 맛없.
- Check the last vowel. It is ㅓ, and any vowel other than ㅏ or ㅗ takes 어요.
- Join them. 맛없 + 어요 gives 맛없어요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 맛없었어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
Using 맛없다
맛 + 없다 (to not have). Careful: 맛있다/맛없다 differ only in 있/없.
이 라면은 맛없어요.
This ramen tastes bad.
맛없으면 먹지 마세요.
If it tastes bad, don't eat it.
