| Dictionary | 좋아하다 | |
| Polite present | 좋아해요 | |
| Polite past | 좋아했어요 | |

The polite forms end in 요 and suit most conversations; the formal form is for announcements, presentations and first meetings. The same form works for I, you, she or they.
How 좋아하다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 좋아하다 and you are left with 좋아하.
- Apply the 하다 pattern. 하 becomes 해 before an ending. That gives 좋아해요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 좋아했어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
Using 좋아하다
좋다 (to be good) plus 하다. Watch the silent ㅎ batchim in 좋, because spelling it 조아하다 is a very common typo.
한국 음악을 좋아해요.
I like Korean music.
