How 뛰다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 뛰다 and you are left with 뛰.
- Check the last vowel. It is ㅟ, and any vowel other than ㅏ or ㅗ takes 어요.
- Join them. 뛰 + 어요 gives 뛰어요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 뛰었어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
Using 뛰다
It opens with the double consonant ㄸ and follows with the compound vowel ㅟ, so it's a proper spelling workout.
늦어서 뛰어요.
I'm running because I'm late.
아이들이 뛰어요.
The children are running.
