How 쓰다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 쓰다 and you are left with 쓰.
- Apply the ㅡ stem pattern. The ㅡ drops and 아 or 어 takes its place. That gives 써요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 썼어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
Using 쓰다
A triple-duty verb: write, use, or wear on your head. ㅡ-irregular: 쓰다 → 써요.
