How 크다 conjugates
- Find the stem. Take 다 off 크다 and you are left with 크.
- Apply the ㅡ stem pattern. The ㅡ drops and 아 or 어 takes its place. That gives 커요.
- Build the rest on it. The past tense adds ㅆ to the same base, giving 컸어요, and the table above has the future and the formal form.
Using 크다
ㅡ-irregular: 크다 → 커요. Also 'to grow' as an action verb.
집이 커요.
The house is big.
키가 커요.
He is tall.
